Sii? Wii play wii!/Family time

Today, my sister brought over the children she was babysitting. The one (at 4 years old--"I will be 5 on APRIL 23rd!!") declared me her BEST FRIEND FOREVER. Oh yeah, you're mad.

Just kidding. I normally can't stand kids. I just didn't feel like making anyone cry today. (And believe me--it's happened before.)

After she left, my dad toted all of us--Sister's Boyfriend, Sister 1, Sister 2, Sister 3, Cousin, Sister 3's friend--in the back of his pick-em-up truck, and we headed over to the softball field for some practice--AS IF my arm couldn't get any SORE-R!

But it really wasn't all that bad. We had some nice family time, hit a few softballs, got some more practice in--I'm telling you, we eat, drink, sleep softball. It's our family thing.

Then, we had Chinese for dinner, and my aunt and her boyfriend came over. More nice family time, while trying not to think of my aunt's homicidal ex-husband...ANYWHOooOOoo...! Our slogan for tonight?

The Wii: Bringing Dysfunctional Families Together, One Numbchuck At A Time!

Get it? Numbchuck is what ya play with, your family is made of numbchucks...aaahh, I knew you wouldn't get it.

Oh, and I found this:

GCH rocked before "Cupid's Ch0kehold, Version 2" came out.

Damn, you guys really DO love softball! I totally suck at it because I'm scared of the ball hitting me in the face. once I got hit in the boob and it HURT like crazy!
It's cute that that girl wanted you to be her best friend! Aawww.

Kick some serious ass, and don't forget to take names

Holy shiza. I can't believe we did that. I won't keep you in suspense...but today...(Dramatic pause)...I quit fastpitch softball. I'll start at the beginning. Yesterday we had our first official slowpitch game (aka for my father's team). I went, because honestly--how can you not go to your own father's game? Not to mention, the fastpitch game was a make-up that we didn't know about until last week. So we--my older sister Devyn, a friend of mine named Ashley--went to our slowpitch game. After all, my dad needed us and we would've had to forfeit if we didn't have enough girls to play. So we sort of ditched the fastpitch game. But it was NBD, seriously. Ashley NEVER plays in a fastpitch game. She sits the bench EVERY game, yet shows up for every practice, all the time. So naturally she's going to go to the game where she gets a chance to play, and not to mention she's good at it. My sister, on the other hand, is a senior. She's paid her dues. S...

Just another Monday

I took some pictures today, figuring I knew that I wouldn't feel up to posting something gigantic. And I'm not. We had another softball game this afternoon, and even though I played for about...3½ minutes, I'm still wiped from having to spend the entire game on my feet (and add that up to my day and school, and it's cause for exhaustion). My 3½ minutes in the spotlight was when my coach decided that we were losing bad enough (We lost 17-10 or something like that) that it wouldn't do any harm to put the Junior Varsity Princess (aka moi, if you're that thick) into the game. The batter's box, to be precise. I guess I wasn't good enough to defend the field. :( Whatever. So, I must've been a lot more nervous than I thought I was, because everyone kept telling me to relax. I didn't feel nervous, but when I struck out (I went down swingin', ya bastards!) and returned to the dugout, I realized that my hands were shaking. Well, here are the pictures.....

Go on and lose it

"Everybody makes mistakes/Everybody has those days..." -Hannah Montana Yeah Miss Montana? Well, I doubt you've had the day I've had. Enter: Wake up at 6:00 in the morning on a Saturday. Get in the shower, dress, and eat breakfast. Wonder why I'm up so early? I have a Youth and Government shindig. I get ready to go, and then wake my dad up at 7:30 and tell him we should go soon. I have to be there by 9 am, and it's about a half-hour away. That translates to an hour or so with me driving (still on my permit, so Dad has to come) and the fact that we don't exactly know where the Anita Tuvin Schlecter building is. I drove fine on the way there, no one died. =) We get there, and we were kind of lost--but that wasn't that big of deal. We were still early and we found the place all right. I also found my friend from Y&G who had told me what was going on today. We stood outside the ATS building...and it was locked. There wasn't a soul in sight. Me: ...
