Storms are rolling in. . . several different kinds!

Hmph. Smells like Wet Earth. Earthworms. Mud. All that stuff that you love when you're a little kid. There was a major thunderstorm here today. I'm talking HUGE. I had fallen asleep after my algebra II final (Please don't ask, it went horribly wrong) and woke up to the sound of thunder shaking my house. Yeah, that's right. When you live out in the country [somewhat] you get some pretty nasty thunderstorms. Obviously by my state of asleep I wasn't conscious enough to snap a picture of how dark the sky was, but I took this one a couple minutes ago--and then interrogated by my mother as to why I was opening the rather LOUD front door at 12 in the morning. I responded with, "Because. . . I'm taking a picture. For my. . . thing! JEEZ MOM!" So I woke up around 6pm, alone, with the sound of tremendous thunder. The walls were shaking and the sky kept flashing purplish grey. This isn't to say I'm afraid of thunderstorms, by any means. As a matter of f...

The Ultimate Test of Courage

Okay. I'm putting myself to the ultimate test. You see, I am a big fan of ice cream. I absolutely LOVE it. My family is stocked with ice cream for whenever the urge [or need] arrises for a nice bowl of [my favorite] chocolate chip cookie dough. When you live in a house with a dude who really likes ice cream and 4 other women, it's bound to disappear pretty fast. Most of the time, it's me though. XD So I've decided to test myself. . . to see how long I can go without ice cream. Yeah, I know that since you can't watch me every second of the day that there is no way to tell if I cheat--but don't worry. It' s just an internet counter. I wouldn't stoop low enough to fool it. So on your right there is my little counter thinger...we'll see how long I can go [since I just had my last bowl tonight]. Nothing new to report...I'm working hard on studying for my finals and more than EVER ready to get out of school...and the good news is, I may be getting a jo...

"You can't stand under my Umbrella-ella-ella-a-a-a. . ."

I should be working on my English project. WORK, Alexa, WORK! Carlos was supposed to come over today. He called me at 11:12 AM--when I was still sleeping. He was like, "Well, what are we gonna do?" Me [Half Asleep]: I don't know. I don't think you can come over today. I didn't work on that project yesterday [really, I didn't] and now I have to do the whole thing today, and my mom wants me to go shopping with my little sister [complete lie]. So we can't do it today. Carlos: Oh. Okay. [Obviously disappointed] Me: Hey, don't be like that. Look, I'm sorry. But just not today. Carlos: No, I'm fine. [Growling quietly into phone. . .jk] Me: Yeah right, you sound like someone just killed your dog. Carlos: Nope. Look, I'll see ya later. [Click] I hate this relationship thing. I liked being single better. EDIT- He spent the day with his best friend. When I called him, he seemed reasonably happy--then proceeded to interrogate me about how late I staye...
This isn't exactly comforting...lol.

¿Qué pasa contigo mi hermana?

I wish there was a sound for a sigh. Anything besides "*sigh*." But then again, how can you put into words the sound of someone exhaling forcefully? That would be pretty difficult. But yeah, I'm frustrated. My guy problems have calmed down a lot, so everything's good on that front. Except...well...Carlos came over to my house today. He brought his cousin along and we just kind of hung out, ate some food, jumped on the trampoline. It's what happened on the way home that sort of...frustrated me. We were in the car while my dad was pumping gas, and he tried to kiss me. Of course, that's all nice and dandy. I'm not against kissing. Kissing is great and fun and lovely, but...HIS COUSIN was... right there. Is it wrong that I feel so awkward about this? I don't know, but It was short-lived because...let's just say I felt really, really uncomfortable. Oh, and I'm not done. When we arrived at his house, he approached the front door, and his cousin caug...
