"I will let you down..."

The title of this post is a line from a song in a book that Sarah Dessen wrote, called This Lullaby . It's one of my favorite books. I usually don't start off by writing blog titles, I save them until the end. But this time it's so fitting that I didn't want to forget it. So, remember semi/kinda/not really boyfriend Carlos? Yeah well, he--we sort of had a fight. This weekend I am supposed to have a birthday party after my older sister gets shipped off to prom. I'll have worked my butt off all day cleaning and running errands and doing crap for Devyn, then I get to have my party. And even better, I invited Carlos! YAY...right? WRONG. I did invite him. At first he wasn't sure, he had already made plans with his best friend. Best friend has to complete English project, so YAY, Carlos can come. But here's the conversation I had with Steph. It was...entertaining. italianagirl651 (10:30:04 PM): So tonight my mother was making a list of things to get from wendys. ...

Kick some serious ass, and don't forget to take names

Holy shiza. I can't believe we did that. I won't keep you in suspense...but today...(Dramatic pause)...I quit fastpitch softball. I'll start at the beginning. Yesterday we had our first official slowpitch game (aka for my father's team). I went, because honestly--how can you not go to your own father's game? Not to mention, the fastpitch game was a make-up that we didn't know about until last week. So we--my older sister Devyn, a friend of mine named Ashley--went to our slowpitch game. After all, my dad needed us and we would've had to forfeit if we didn't have enough girls to play. So we sort of ditched the fastpitch game. But it was NBD, seriously. Ashley NEVER plays in a fastpitch game. She sits the bench EVERY game, yet shows up for every practice, all the time. So naturally she's going to go to the game where she gets a chance to play, and not to mention she's good at it. My sister, on the other hand, is a senior. She's paid her dues. S...

Oy vay!

Probably the best resource on the net for geeks like me: http://www.urbandictionary.com I found this today: "1. oy vay 1 used when frustrated 2 Used when anoyed by other people fighting or arguing and it becomes a big mess 3 used when you dont want to do something like wake up in the morning becuase you think its too early 1 OY VAY!!!! 2 oy vay ... this isnt working 3 Oy vay its only 6:00. or oy vay i have so much to do today." I love how these (aka the entries) are made up by random people. But as we all know, the term "oy vey" or "oy vay" is most definitely Yiddish. Okay, so maybe I've been hanging around Jews too much lately. HEY, what can I say?!? My boyfriend's Jewish. Studio Yiddish - How it differs from normal Yiddish, I dunno. I just found it. Wow. I just focused an entire post on one phrase. Man, I'm messed up. QUESTION: Okay, so this is the QUESTION of the WEEK. Whoever gets it will receive a (non existant) dollar and my undying love...

Spidey senses tingling...mwahaha!

Who's having the best week ever?? That's right...ME!! Yes, this birthday week has probably been the best one I've ever had...I guess that's why they call it SWEET SIXTEEN. I'll recap, since I've been so busy lately... Monday- Parent Meeting with the Gifted teacher...yowza. I got in deep trouble there...my mom is STILL mad at me for that. Tuesday- I posted here. Wednesday- THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! I went to school, all excited and such...I got tons of birthday wishes, it was awesome. Then, after school, I had a softball game and I got to play...YAY!! Except...we lost anyways. But never fear! I got cupcakes and COOKIES! Yes, it was good. Then, I went off to my last meeting of YAG until September. Good news, I was elected as a treasurer for my delegation. Better news? We went out for ICE CREAM! Best news? I got to see that guy I mentioned once...yeah, we're kind of dating, but we're not doing the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing yet. So I dunno what to call ...
