Water offa duck...!

Nowhere to go but up, man...honestly.

I dunno what it is, but my luck's starting to turn around. I mean, I understand my math and chemistry homework, I'm sleeping better and not falling asleep in class, I'm reading on a regular basis again, and...I dunno. Everything just...I won't say perfect, because it's far from. Not to mention, I don't want to jinx it just in case it could get better.

Funny how I feel so good, even though my day started off pretty shitty. I woke up at 5:30 but turned off my alarm. So I slept until my sister came home from her boyfriend's to take me to school at 7:08. She honked twice, and I leapt outta bed. I went to the window, freaking out. I was still in my Eeyore pajama bottoms and my "Mom Went To Hawaii And All She Brought Me Back Was This Stupid T-Shirt" shirt with the dolphins the shape of a heart. So yeah, I was screwed. My hair was a wreck, I seriously needed a shower, and I had nothing to wear. So my sister left without me. I was late for the millionth time, but only missed a few minutes of first period History. I wore a brown polo with jeans and clogs. I put my hair up. So no harm done!

Only thing that ticks me off right now? The softball team.

So much insolence, insubordination...UN-TEAM-LINESS!!

We always bitch about who has to carry the shit, not doing stuff together...

Ugh, I dunno. I'm not gonna let this bother me.

UP thinking...!

I hate it when I sleep through the alarm (or press off when I think i'm pressing snooze) and then end up being late. That is the freakin' worst. i always feel like people can tell just by looking at me that I was rushed and didn't shower or whatever. so annoying.
Sorry about the unsportsmanlikeness of your softball team. That sucks.
Oh, and I loved the lyrics you put for my Poll Topic! That's awesome!!!

Kick some serious ass, and don't forget to take names

Holy shiza. I can't believe we did that. I won't keep you in suspense...but today...(Dramatic pause)...I quit fastpitch softball. I'll start at the beginning. Yesterday we had our first official slowpitch game (aka for my father's team). I went, because honestly--how can you not go to your own father's game? Not to mention, the fastpitch game was a make-up that we didn't know about until last week. So we--my older sister Devyn, a friend of mine named Ashley--went to our slowpitch game. After all, my dad needed us and we would've had to forfeit if we didn't have enough girls to play. So we sort of ditched the fastpitch game. But it was NBD, seriously. Ashley NEVER plays in a fastpitch game. She sits the bench EVERY game, yet shows up for every practice, all the time. So naturally she's going to go to the game where she gets a chance to play, and not to mention she's good at it. My sister, on the other hand, is a senior. She's paid her dues. S...

Just another Monday

I took some pictures today, figuring I knew that I wouldn't feel up to posting something gigantic. And I'm not. We had another softball game this afternoon, and even though I played for about...3½ minutes, I'm still wiped from having to spend the entire game on my feet (and add that up to my day and school, and it's cause for exhaustion). My 3½ minutes in the spotlight was when my coach decided that we were losing bad enough (We lost 17-10 or something like that) that it wouldn't do any harm to put the Junior Varsity Princess (aka moi, if you're that thick) into the game. The batter's box, to be precise. I guess I wasn't good enough to defend the field. :( Whatever. So, I must've been a lot more nervous than I thought I was, because everyone kept telling me to relax. I didn't feel nervous, but when I struck out (I went down swingin', ya bastards!) and returned to the dugout, I realized that my hands were shaking. Well, here are the pictures.....

Go on and lose it

"Everybody makes mistakes/Everybody has those days..." -Hannah Montana Yeah Miss Montana? Well, I doubt you've had the day I've had. Enter: Wake up at 6:00 in the morning on a Saturday. Get in the shower, dress, and eat breakfast. Wonder why I'm up so early? I have a Youth and Government shindig. I get ready to go, and then wake my dad up at 7:30 and tell him we should go soon. I have to be there by 9 am, and it's about a half-hour away. That translates to an hour or so with me driving (still on my permit, so Dad has to come) and the fact that we don't exactly know where the Anita Tuvin Schlecter building is. I drove fine on the way there, no one died. =) We get there, and we were kind of lost--but that wasn't that big of deal. We were still early and we found the place all right. I also found my friend from Y&G who had told me what was going on today. We stood outside the ATS building...and it was locked. There wasn't a soul in sight. Me: ...
