How to be Uncool

So, I've decided. I am going to write a book on how to be uncool. No, not how to be cool. And no, not even how to be uncool in the cool way. No, I shall be showing all of you lovelies what it's like to be uncool in a world where ANYONE can be cool, and you feel you are not. And...I'm not going to write a book. It might be something like a book, but it may also be a video. Or a series. Mini-series.

Now that I've officially sent you on a vague and potentially disappointing mind trip--prom is this Saturday. Senior prom. Wow. I don't think it's hit me that this is one of those milestones. The ones that you'll remember the rest of your life! So it'd better be good. Here's to hope. Or, at least I might be able to come out with a pretty good story or two.

The Roots. How come I've never heard of these guys before?

I'm not wearing any underwear!

I don't know what is wrong with me, heh. Well, my fingers are falling asleep on my screen. I suppose a 'good night' is in order...

Get the brown trousers!

YOUR 2008 NL EAST CHAMPIONS ARE...

Yaaaaayyy...my Phillies are the NL East champions once again! Last Year: This Year: w00t!

Just another Monday

I took some pictures today, figuring I knew that I wouldn't feel up to posting something gigantic. And I'm not. We had another softball game this afternoon, and even though I played for about...3½ minutes, I'm still wiped from having to spend the entire game on my feet (and add that up to my day and school, and it's cause for exhaustion). My 3½ minutes in the spotlight was when my coach decided that we were losing bad enough (We lost 17-10 or something like that) that it wouldn't do any harm to put the Junior Varsity Princess (aka moi, if you're that thick) into the game. The batter's box, to be precise. I guess I wasn't good enough to defend the field. :( Whatever. So, I must've been a lot more nervous than I thought I was, because everyone kept telling me to relax. I didn't feel nervous, but when I struck out (I went down swingin', ya bastards!) and returned to the dugout, I realized that my hands were shaking. Well, here are the pictures.....

A Lesson That Needed Re-Learned

Okay. So The Queen learned a very valuable lesson yesterday. You DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS. Obviously, everyone learns this lesson from the age of 5, when your father asks you, "What do you do if some strange man asks you to help him find his lost puppy?" And then, you so enthusiastically respond, "You kick him in his privates and say NOOOOOOOOOO!!" Well, at least that's how I learned. And so when a young woman (couldn't be any older than my older sister) came to my door yesterday and asked questions about when my mother would be home, questions about the other kids in the neighborhood...I did the completely WRONG thing to do. I answered her questions and thought nothing of it. I didn't think her out-of-state license plates were all that threatening. I didn't think that her black (with polka dots) galoshes (similar to these ) were all that threatening. I figured she was just another one of those annoying Youth For Christ advocates asking if I w...
