So I stopped into the library today, to reapply for my Nerd Club membership card...haha. I checked out 6 books, of which I don't remember all the titles right now. The shitty thing about the library right now is that all the good books are checked out. Boo.
Annddd...I went to Target...shocker! Even when I'm not working I end up there.
And Best Buy...I'm trying to buy a new camera because mine broke...I don't even know where to begin!
And I went to Borders...and bought a Twilight poster! Oh jesus christ, I'm a shopaholic. This reign of money spending has...got...to...END!!!
And after taking a rather disgruntled Tessie to the vet to get shots and ear medicine, I came home and ate dinner. And then after THAT I wanted ice cream. So I got in my car and drove to Wal-Mart (I spend too much time in those kind of stores lately...) where I saw this mysterious kid.
Okay, so the kid's not so mysterious. I sat next to him in French II this year. He was new and came about 3 quarters of the way through the school year--and causing quite a stink at that. He was from our school's greatest wrestling rival, and WAS a wrestler. He didn't have a lot of money so he toted around a drawstring bag with the rival school's colors and mascot on it. Let's just say this didn't blow over well with everyone, but what else is new in small-town America?!?
So anyways, he sat next to me, and whenever possible (moreso towards the end of the year) tried to bum rides off me. I often refused, even though my friends made me feel guilty about it until I gave in. He also tried to bum rides off me when I left work--he works right across the street and often comes into my store.
So tonight when I saw him in Wal-Mart, he asked for a ride. I didn't care, his house was on the way to mine and I'm feeling all friend-less this summer (as the norm). So I took him home, and he asked if we wanted to hang out tomorrow.
I'm wary, however.
So far in our very wacked-up relationship, all he's done is bum rides. And I even asked if he liked me or something, and he was quick to bring up a long-distance girlfriend that he quote likes very much unquote. So I don't really know what to expect when he wants to hang out. Maaaaybe he just wants a friend?!? I don't even know. He's kind of cute, but a wrestler, shallow, and TOTALLY not my type.
Ugh. What to do...
PS- I FINALLY got a copy of Alex Richards' book BACK TALK! (At the library!)
