Ow. So yeah, my head is kind of throbbing.

Hi there, blog. I'm sorry I've neglected you.

But I'll be honest.

In the past...two months or so, I've become something of an adult. I've had to get and maintain a job, practice learning to drive, use an ATM, buy Christmas presents for my family, facillitate a program fundraiser AND pick-up, enroll in college courses, deal with 2 failing grades in school, and STILL MANAGE to get enough sleep.

Let me tell you, it has not been easy. I've been dragging some miserable ass these last couple weeks. And I'm sorry that I haven't gotten over here to update...I mean, I've been on, checking my mail and being a NERDFIGHTER, but my posting on here has very poor and scattered. But again, failing the junior year of school is often frowned upon when applying to many universities.

And not to mention, it's been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster around here...okay, never mind, that's a lie. Sure, it's FELT like that in my head, but my overall emotion and attitude towards everyone else has been...well, something close to apathetic. Fatigue and exhaustion have rendered me "burnt out" at the end of every single day.

But all this time, my light at the end of the tunnel has been...you guessed it, Christmas. It's my ONE day of break that I can sleep in, not work, not work, not work, not work, get nice things, eat something that took longer than 5 minutes to make, forget about deadlines, uniformity, not work, not work, not work...forget about what other people feel and/or want from me, and just...

...relax.

It sounds so good already. =)

YOUR 2008 NL EAST CHAMPIONS ARE...

Yaaaaayyy...my Phillies are the NL East champions once again! Last Year: This Year: w00t!

Just another Monday

I took some pictures today, figuring I knew that I wouldn't feel up to posting something gigantic. And I'm not. We had another softball game this afternoon, and even though I played for about...3½ minutes, I'm still wiped from having to spend the entire game on my feet (and add that up to my day and school, and it's cause for exhaustion). My 3½ minutes in the spotlight was when my coach decided that we were losing bad enough (We lost 17-10 or something like that) that it wouldn't do any harm to put the Junior Varsity Princess (aka moi, if you're that thick) into the game. The batter's box, to be precise. I guess I wasn't good enough to defend the field. :( Whatever. So, I must've been a lot more nervous than I thought I was, because everyone kept telling me to relax. I didn't feel nervous, but when I struck out (I went down swingin', ya bastards!) and returned to the dugout, I realized that my hands were shaking. Well, here are the pictures.....

A Lesson That Needed Re-Learned

Okay. So The Queen learned a very valuable lesson yesterday. You DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS. Obviously, everyone learns this lesson from the age of 5, when your father asks you, "What do you do if some strange man asks you to help him find his lost puppy?" And then, you so enthusiastically respond, "You kick him in his privates and say NOOOOOOOOOO!!" Well, at least that's how I learned. And so when a young woman (couldn't be any older than my older sister) came to my door yesterday and asked questions about when my mother would be home, questions about the other kids in the neighborhood...I did the completely WRONG thing to do. I answered her questions and thought nothing of it. I didn't think her out-of-state license plates were all that threatening. I didn't think that her black (with polka dots) galoshes (similar to these ) were all that threatening. I figured she was just another one of those annoying Youth For Christ advocates asking if I w...
