SICK, click, stick, tick, lick, crick...

I guess as "The Cold Queen," I am finally living up to my name.

I am sick, sick, sick. Yuck.

Well, I had originally meant for the cold queen to mean how...mean (and cold--in reference to the song "Cold as Ice" by Foreigner) I was, but right now it applies to the fact that I am super achy, my nose is running a two-minute mile, my head is throbbing, and my sinuses are on FIRE!
My mother and my friend Steph have been trying to convince me that it's just allergies, but my allergies have never sucked this bad before. I've even overdosed on Claritin but...nothing.

Ugh...I HATE BEING SICK!!!

And I'm not the only one--last night my little poodle Tessie had to be run to an emergency vet because her back haunch was covered in blood. We didn't know what was wrong with her when she wouldn't come begging for dinner, so we thought she may have gotten her doggy-period. Turns out she got an infection and her butt-gland kind of exploded. We were very worried for a little while there, but she's going to be fine. Thank God, I dunno what I'd do without my widdle fluffy-butt.

Well, that's it for today...*Sneeze*

YOUR 2008 NL EAST CHAMPIONS ARE...

Yaaaaayyy...my Phillies are the NL East champions once again! Last Year: This Year: w00t!

Just another Monday

I took some pictures today, figuring I knew that I wouldn't feel up to posting something gigantic. And I'm not. We had another softball game this afternoon, and even though I played for about...3½ minutes, I'm still wiped from having to spend the entire game on my feet (and add that up to my day and school, and it's cause for exhaustion). My 3½ minutes in the spotlight was when my coach decided that we were losing bad enough (We lost 17-10 or something like that) that it wouldn't do any harm to put the Junior Varsity Princess (aka moi, if you're that thick) into the game. The batter's box, to be precise. I guess I wasn't good enough to defend the field. :( Whatever. So, I must've been a lot more nervous than I thought I was, because everyone kept telling me to relax. I didn't feel nervous, but when I struck out (I went down swingin', ya bastards!) and returned to the dugout, I realized that my hands were shaking. Well, here are the pictures.....

A Lesson That Needed Re-Learned

Okay. So The Queen learned a very valuable lesson yesterday. You DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS. Obviously, everyone learns this lesson from the age of 5, when your father asks you, "What do you do if some strange man asks you to help him find his lost puppy?" And then, you so enthusiastically respond, "You kick him in his privates and say NOOOOOOOOOO!!" Well, at least that's how I learned. And so when a young woman (couldn't be any older than my older sister) came to my door yesterday and asked questions about when my mother would be home, questions about the other kids in the neighborhood...I did the completely WRONG thing to do. I answered her questions and thought nothing of it. I didn't think her out-of-state license plates were all that threatening. I didn't think that her black (with polka dots) galoshes (similar to these ) were all that threatening. I figured she was just another one of those annoying Youth For Christ advocates asking if I w...
