P-A Weekend

Well, I have to say this has been a pretty interesting weekend. I'll start with Friday, of course.

Friday:

Well, we had a softball game. The funniest thing about it? It seems as if the softball field is the absolute HOME of Passive-Aggressive behavior. Hilarious. We lost 10-0. But I dunno. I might have been able to explain it better when I first came home, but I came home and crashed, unable to even produce a mere post. Sorry. I was so tired. But the game just involved a mess of things, like:
  • A stupid coach who put a girl in the game that didn't show up for practice on Thursday and told me personally that she hated softball and didn't want to be there...then, whenever Coach yelled at her to run to her position, she walked. I know, isn't it awesome? Passive-aggression INCARNATE.
  • Spoiled Coach's Daughter, who got hurt in the second inning and blamed it on her dad. This other girl basically held the game for her for 4 innings, until SCD decided her injuries (that caused her to sob openly and call the trainer) finally subsided.
  • Spoiled Coach's Daughter ran to her older sister, who was Crazy Senior Coach's Daughter Last Year. They basically had an entire family argument in the team meeting that made me want to rip my hair out. Even my sister and I keep our family issues off the field.

Those were the three most fucked up things at the game. But besides that, I stood next to the assistant coach who was managing the book, and he would comment on something that someone else said to another person. It made it hard to not laugh (which would have been bad, considering how badly we were losing). Like this:
CSCDLY: "Don't worry hun, they're just being selective!"
Assistant Coach: *Under his breath*
"Well, no shit they're being selective."
I just smiled to myself. Turns out I'm not the only P-A person around here. ;) My quote for Friday?
"It's unprofessional to make your problems someone else's problems."

Saturday:

Nothing really. I woke up before noon (OMG itz a frickn mIrAcLe!!!!11) and went grocery shopping with my mom, which pretty much took all afternoon. But I don't mind spending time with my mom. It's nice when it's just the two of us.
When I came home, my two cousins came over and then
Steph came over, and we had a pickup game of basketball with the neighbor kids. It was fun, except Steph accidently wacked me in the nose (it's okay, I forgive you! XP) and that kinda hurt. But it wasn't too bad. After that, we went into my backyard, where my dad had the firepit going for a few hours. They rode my sister's boyfriend's ATV around, and after getting yelled at from a quarter mile away (by some drunk dude in a station wagon..."Put out that fire you pyro bastards!!") we just hung out, made popcorn over the fire (almost a disaster, not really. Kind of gross. Burnt.) and chilled. We went in later for milkshakes and Steph slept over.
Steph and I stayed up late (around 3ish?) watching Cars and then music videos on VH1. She woke up at 5:45 because my LOUD alarm (that won't even wake me up!) came on, even though I SWORE I turned it off (still sorry for that, Steph) and my dog wouldn't stop licking her face and arms. So...still sorry, Steph.

Sunday:

Pretty boring. Steph and I hung out and played cards. I ate--she doesn't, apparently!--and we watched Amélie (which is a GREAT movie btw...even if it is entirely in French XD).
Then Steph left, and now I'm here.

And now I'm here. Just kind of relaxing, listening to "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" by Meat Loaf--of course. Once I get off this thing, I'm probably going to read my book (Midnighters) and then watch TV. Shower, and get ready for school tomorrow. See? Uneventful. So you don't even have to worry about me. ;)

Kick some serious ass, and don't forget to take names

Holy shiza. I can't believe we did that. I won't keep you in suspense...but today...(Dramatic pause)...I quit fastpitch softball. I'll start at the beginning. Yesterday we had our first official slowpitch game (aka for my father's team). I went, because honestly--how can you not go to your own father's game? Not to mention, the fastpitch game was a make-up that we didn't know about until last week. So we--my older sister Devyn, a friend of mine named Ashley--went to our slowpitch game. After all, my dad needed us and we would've had to forfeit if we didn't have enough girls to play. So we sort of ditched the fastpitch game. But it was NBD, seriously. Ashley NEVER plays in a fastpitch game. She sits the bench EVERY game, yet shows up for every practice, all the time. So naturally she's going to go to the game where she gets a chance to play, and not to mention she's good at it. My sister, on the other hand, is a senior. She's paid her dues. S...

Just another Monday

I took some pictures today, figuring I knew that I wouldn't feel up to posting something gigantic. And I'm not. We had another softball game this afternoon, and even though I played for about...3½ minutes, I'm still wiped from having to spend the entire game on my feet (and add that up to my day and school, and it's cause for exhaustion). My 3½ minutes in the spotlight was when my coach decided that we were losing bad enough (We lost 17-10 or something like that) that it wouldn't do any harm to put the Junior Varsity Princess (aka moi, if you're that thick) into the game. The batter's box, to be precise. I guess I wasn't good enough to defend the field. :( Whatever. So, I must've been a lot more nervous than I thought I was, because everyone kept telling me to relax. I didn't feel nervous, but when I struck out (I went down swingin', ya bastards!) and returned to the dugout, I realized that my hands were shaking. Well, here are the pictures.....

Go on and lose it

"Everybody makes mistakes/Everybody has those days..." -Hannah Montana Yeah Miss Montana? Well, I doubt you've had the day I've had. Enter: Wake up at 6:00 in the morning on a Saturday. Get in the shower, dress, and eat breakfast. Wonder why I'm up so early? I have a Youth and Government shindig. I get ready to go, and then wake my dad up at 7:30 and tell him we should go soon. I have to be there by 9 am, and it's about a half-hour away. That translates to an hour or so with me driving (still on my permit, so Dad has to come) and the fact that we don't exactly know where the Anita Tuvin Schlecter building is. I drove fine on the way there, no one died. =) We get there, and we were kind of lost--but that wasn't that big of deal. We were still early and we found the place all right. I also found my friend from Y&G who had told me what was going on today. We stood outside the ATS building...and it was locked. There wasn't a soul in sight. Me: ...
