Resurgence* of Wit and Charm!

So yeah, I have four field hockey games this week.

(As of right now, we've got two down, two to go)

And according to recent mandates formed by coach, we're having a timed run on Thursday, the only day when we do NOT have a game.

So far, I have played in BOTH games this week, the ENTIRE game. This is somewhat remarkable, considering I didn't start in any of the games last week.

So this is contest to the fact that I have a dwindling social life as of late...however, I am trying. REALLY.

I was invited to a party on Friday, BUT (there's always a big but) I can't go because I'm BABYSITTING. Ugh, revolting. Haven't done that shit in months. AND I have to work early Saturday morning, all...day...long. My brain's gonna dry up and flop out of my left ear.

And I've been kind of trying to get this guy from school to date me...it's a very long-winded series of events so far that involve a lot of he-said/she-said drama, including the school librarian, who's been the facilitator of all this conversing and whatnot.

But ya never know, I kind of lowered my standards (WHAT standards? oh yeah, I don't usually date guys from school) so this could be fairly interesting. And besides, he's a nerd.

Yummy. I sure know how to pick 'em!

In other news, La Reina DESPISES el Facebook NUEVO (New Facebook for you slowskys out there). It's running on some sort of software or flash that my Verizon browser just doesn't understand, so I can't even post on other people's walls right now. Talk about LAME. I'm waiting until Tom Zuckerberg or whatever the face-he-is to decide to change it back or fix all the FREAKIN' bugs in it.

I have fully proclaimed my nerd-dom. I'm a complete fangirl for TWILIGHT. (Keep in mind all youz haterz, I DID read them last year, and I was present at the Breaking Dawn Release Party at my local Borders because I WANTED to be there, and I had already read le series several times over the course of 2 years beforehand goddamnit!) But I am MUCHO excitada for the movie release. I don't usually bash the pick of an actor unless it's really bad, so I cannot in any way, shape, or form, deny my love for R.Patz.

Yeah, so I'm a fangirl. Bite me. =)

Other than those things that were pressing at the forefront of my brain...basically just living around...listening to music, driving, watching TV (Did you see HEROES last night? AWESOME.

Claire: [Whispering] Are you gonna eat it?
Sylar: [also whispering] Your brain? Claire, that's disgusting.

Yeah, I died of laughter right here.) playing field hockey (which IS fun. I'm really, truly, lovin' it), and just...hanging around.

Which, well, is probably bad. I should be applying for colleges, right? Scholarships?

Yeah...we'll get to that. Anyone want to do them for me? Hah. Knew that was coming.

Major Bummer Alert: I have to miss Youth and Government (which is now the highlight of my week) tomorrow night because we're playing our hockey game under the lights at 7:30. They had to make it on a Wednesday.

Yup yup. That's it for now. Except...

Check this song out...it's running rampant across the ol' WorWidWeb as Bella's Lullaby, but the title is actually "River Flows In You" by the artist Yiruma. I've heard some of this guy's stuff, and he's pretty genius. Very chill music. I approve!

Kick some serious ass, and don't forget to take names

Holy shiza. I can't believe we did that. I won't keep you in suspense...but today...(Dramatic pause)...I quit fastpitch softball. I'll start at the beginning. Yesterday we had our first official slowpitch game (aka for my father's team). I went, because honestly--how can you not go to your own father's game? Not to mention, the fastpitch game was a make-up that we didn't know about until last week. So we--my older sister Devyn, a friend of mine named Ashley--went to our slowpitch game. After all, my dad needed us and we would've had to forfeit if we didn't have enough girls to play. So we sort of ditched the fastpitch game. But it was NBD, seriously. Ashley NEVER plays in a fastpitch game. She sits the bench EVERY game, yet shows up for every practice, all the time. So naturally she's going to go to the game where she gets a chance to play, and not to mention she's good at it. My sister, on the other hand, is a senior. She's paid her dues. S...

Just another Monday

I took some pictures today, figuring I knew that I wouldn't feel up to posting something gigantic. And I'm not. We had another softball game this afternoon, and even though I played for about...3½ minutes, I'm still wiped from having to spend the entire game on my feet (and add that up to my day and school, and it's cause for exhaustion). My 3½ minutes in the spotlight was when my coach decided that we were losing bad enough (We lost 17-10 or something like that) that it wouldn't do any harm to put the Junior Varsity Princess (aka moi, if you're that thick) into the game. The batter's box, to be precise. I guess I wasn't good enough to defend the field. :( Whatever. So, I must've been a lot more nervous than I thought I was, because everyone kept telling me to relax. I didn't feel nervous, but when I struck out (I went down swingin', ya bastards!) and returned to the dugout, I realized that my hands were shaking. Well, here are the pictures.....

Go on and lose it

"Everybody makes mistakes/Everybody has those days..." -Hannah Montana Yeah Miss Montana? Well, I doubt you've had the day I've had. Enter: Wake up at 6:00 in the morning on a Saturday. Get in the shower, dress, and eat breakfast. Wonder why I'm up so early? I have a Youth and Government shindig. I get ready to go, and then wake my dad up at 7:30 and tell him we should go soon. I have to be there by 9 am, and it's about a half-hour away. That translates to an hour or so with me driving (still on my permit, so Dad has to come) and the fact that we don't exactly know where the Anita Tuvin Schlecter building is. I drove fine on the way there, no one died. =) We get there, and we were kind of lost--but that wasn't that big of deal. We were still early and we found the place all right. I also found my friend from Y&G who had told me what was going on today. We stood outside the ATS building...and it was locked. There wasn't a soul in sight. Me: ...
